Outdoor editorial shoots are all about playing with contrast, and this session on location in Sweden was no exception. Working with Miss Metnal, we wanted to merge bold, alternative fashion with a raw, natural backdrop.
Miss Metnal wore a high-shine, dark blue latex bodysuit featuring a lace-up front and a tiered ruffled skirt around the waist. The structured sheen of the latex creates a striking visual against the muted, textured reed beds and stone shoreline behind her. Her bright blue hair added a perfect pop of complementary colour that tied the entire look together.
Shooting among tall, dry reeds near the water gave us fantastic organic textures to frame the subject. The soft, natural overcast light helped control harsh reflections on the latex while keeping skin tones smooth and even.
