The undeniable allure of latex, with its glossy sheen, form-fitting nature, and captivating ability to play with light, truly makes it a photographer’s dream. For our latest project at AWOL Studios, we plunged into the world of latex fashion, spotlighting the striking contrast of a crimson top paired with sleek onyx leggings, subtly accented with purple trim.
This bold crimson top, worn by SJ Jinxx, radiates confidence and intensity, creating a vibrant visual against the model’s skin. Complementing it were the dark onyx leggings, crafting a compelling study in contrasts – light and shadow, boldness and elegance – especially against the industrial setting.
During the photoshoot, we also seized the opportunity to capture some incredibly striking images in front of the service elevator doors. The raw, industrial backdrop provided a fascinating contrast to the sleek, polished latex, adding an unexpected edge to the visual narrative.
Our focus was to meticulously capture the unique texture of the latex. We played with light and shadow to emphasize its glossy finish, allowing the studio lighting to bounce off the surface, creating dynamic highlights and reflections. These elements added significant depth and dimension to every image. The result? A series of photographs that are not only visually stunning but also deeply resonant.
